    Sew your own custom-fit or standard sized full body dress form and save hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Our exclusive full body female dress forms are made to replicate expensive professional forms, and could be customized to your own size, figure and shape. Perfect for DIYers, home sewists, knitters as well as professional costume designers, custom clothiers, alteration ateliers, boutiques and any business involved in creation of clothing. Our full body dress forms are also perfect for fashion indie designers, fashion students and brands. Save thousands of dollars on purchasing several sizes of high-end professional forms for your studio. Instead sew up your own forms in a standard size run to be used for test-fitting of your graded samples.

    Our full body DYI body replica dress form will help you with precise fittings, pattern drafting, and draping. No additional dress forms or body taping are required. Customize the height, belly protrusion, buttocks shape, posture, and shoulder slope to replicate your unique figure. Use our Fit Adjustments to enter key measurements such as apex to apex width.


    Important: our dress form sewing pattern has a slight negative ease, which will help with better control to get your measurements just right, during the stuffing process. The filled dress form will expand to match your measurements during the stuffing process.


    This pattern is unsuitable for a dress for, cover on an existing dress form and it is intended to be filled with polyfill, or similar materials.

    1. Self (Main) fabric - up to 3.8 yards (depends on your size)


    2. Adhesive woven fabric interlining or dublerin dense glue or


    3. Cardboard


    4. Sponge/Foam


    5. Zipper – 1 pieces


    6. Craft glue


    7. Small razor knife


    8. Scissors


    9. Plastic pipe tube, diameter from 1 1/8” (3 cm) to 2” (5 cm). We recommend buying a 38” long pipe for standard heights and 48” for very tall. You will have to cut the pipe to the length, recommended on the pattern.

    In general you might say the Missy Fit is for US sizes 2-12 and the Plus Size is size 14-28. But every body is differently proportioned, it is not always such a clean difference. The Missy Fit is for bodies that are not so curvy, the Plus Size pattern is for people whose bodies are more curvy.

    Sometimes the automated system makes this mistake. Just email us [email protected] and we will send you the pattern with seam allowance.

    The DIY dress form patterns have 10% negative ease on some of the horizontal measurements - bust, underbust, waist. Do not try to wear your dress from to check the fit, it is not meant to fit you. (The pattern for the dress form cover DOES NOT have any negative ease)

    If there is any problem with your pattern (measurements came out too big/too small, you input wrong measurements, you lost/gained weight, etc) we can reprocess the pattern for you. (We charge $2 for pattern reprocessing)

    We would recommend making a muslin/test since it is so much work and frequently the pattern you use for the dress form is very special, so you don't want to waste your good fabric.

    Sometimes the pattern comes out perfectly, and sometimes not. Every body is so unique and different, we are not yet able to have every pattern perfect yet. (YET!)

    If your body is not symmetrical, just send us an email [email protected]. Purchase one pattern that reflects the measurements for one side of your body, and we can reprocess the pattern with measurements for the other half of your body, then you can Frankenstein the patterns together (We charge $2 for pattern reprocessing).

    HOW TO ORDER MADE-TO-MEASURE SEWING PATTERNS:

     

    This sewing pattern will be custom fit to your measurements and your unique figure type. The finished pattern will be delivered to your inbox within 10-30 minutes after purchase in a PDF, PLT or DXF formats. Please note that in some rare cases our automated system will generate an error and we will have to process your pattern order manually. This may take up to 24 hours.

     

    When sewing, it is important to match notches and follow grain line direction.


    Please note that fabric amount recommendations are approximate and averaged for all sizes and may differ for your personalized pattern. 
     

    To calculate exact fabric amounts required, print and assemble paper patterns and lay them out on your fabric width (use paper or other fabric as a width guideline, if you do not yet have your exact fabric).


    THIS PATTERN CAN BE CUSTOMIZED FOR THE FOLLOWING SIZES AND HEIGHTS:

     

    Heights range from 4'7" to 6'6" 

    Recommended measurements are between:

    Bust 17" to 58"
    Waist 16" to 56"
    Hips 18" to 56"

     

    HOW TO CUSTOMIZE THIS PATTERN :

     

    1.    Enter your measurements into appropriate text fields or use your saved measurements from your Account Details.

    2.    Use Fit Adjustments to add specific fit requirements.

    3.    Check out and purchase your custom fit pattern.
     

    Within minutes you will receive your confirmation email that will contain a download file with printing and assembly instructions link.
     

    Your custom-fit pattern will be emailed to you within 10-30 minutes after you place your order from efashionpatterns.com. Please check your Spam folder if you do not see any emails within this time frame. The email will include a technical illustration, and an actual pattern in the format that you ordered.

     

    If your complete pattern email does not include sewing instructions, please contact us at [email protected] and we will work on it as soon as possible, in the order your request was received. You will usually receive your requested sewing instructions within 24-72 hours, unless you otherwise specify. We will provide you with comprehensive step-by-step sewing instructions and other useful educational sewing literature.
     

    Tip! Did you know that "Adobe Illustrator PDF" files can also be opened and adjusted in Adobe Illustrator and then printed out using your home printer?
